Socket delivery Day
Last week we were thrilled to receive our new brand-new prosthesis with the brilliant Evanto foot from Dorset Orthopaedic and Ottobock UK.
Having such top quality and well fitted sockets are crucial to the success of this expedition. Our skilled prosthetists Natalie and Hakim, and the technicians at the Amersham Clinic have produced some truly wonderful sockets. So a huge thanks to everyone involved there.
Also the new Evanto foot provided by Ottobock is a game changer. The way the foot adapts to the surface it's on is as close as either of us have experienced to a real foot since losing our left one. We are excited to use this in the Himalayas and put it through its paces.
